On holiday in Mauritius, two French nationals aged 38 and 23 were arrested on Monday, March 28th. They are suspected of stealing various items worth Rs 5576, Super U Grand Bay.
The security official of the mall said in his testimony that the operator in charge of the CCTV reported that two women dressed in black slipped objects in their bags. It was around 20:30 on Monday. The two women would then go out of the supermarket without paying.
However, they were arrested and police were alerted. A search resulted in the recovery of the stolen objects.
The tourists staying in a bungalow at Tamarin, were arrested and detained.
