Manchester United: Mourinho To Agree A Three Year Contract

Negotiations continue between Manchester United and Jose Mourinho, who have accepted a three-year contract to become the next coach of MU, reported the Sky channel on Wednesday.

The former coach of Real Madrid and Chelsea could well receive a huge annual salary of about 13 million euros, says the private satellite channel.

From the same source, the Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic of 34 years, who has not extended his contract with Paris SG, could become the first recruit by the Reds. The attacker and the Special One were together at Inter Milan.

While discussions between Ed Woodward, vice president executive of the club, and Jorge Mendes, Mourinho’s agent, continue for the second straight day, the fate of Ryan Giggs, assistant coach for the past few years, remains uncertain.

The club’s former best left winger at a certain time tipped to take over from Dutchman Louis van Gaal could well be pushed out after 28 years of uninterrupted presence at the club if Mourinho does not want to work with him.

Manchester United sacked LVG despite one year remaining in his contract.

For three consecutive years the Reds fail to recover from the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, after 26 years of rule.

Manchester United, fifth in the Premier League, will not be qualified for the Champions League next season.
