Orlando police confirmed on their Twitter account the death of the assailant at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. There were 20 dead and 42 wounded at least, according to a latest report, in the afternoon of Sunday, June 12, 2016.
A shootout erupted in the night from Saturday to Sunday in a gay club in Orlando, Florida, United States. The assailant who opened fire died, announced the Orlando police shortly before noon on their Twitter account.
“We can confirm that there are many victims,” also said the Orlando police, without specifying whether they were dead or injured.

No indication has been provided on the number of customers present inside the nightclub at the time of the shooting. The survivors, however, bear witness to the horror. One of them, Chris, told his fear to the American channel WKMG.
“When I came out, I saw the people affected, blood everywhere, blood on me.”
An explosion heard
Shortly before, a very strong explosion was heard near the nightclub. Police said they conducted a “controlled explosion” at the nightclub “Pulse”.
