Road Accident: Two Policemen In ICU

They were rushed to the hospital, where their condition is considered serious. Two policemen were injured in road accidents on Sunday, July 3rd.

The constable assigned to the Traffic Branch, aged 32, was found lying on the main road in Triolet, next to his motorcycle. Wounded, he was taken to the SSRN Hospital in Pamplemousses where he was admitted to the intensive care unit.

A Triolet police officer discovered the inhabitant of lying inert on the asphalt at Grande Pointe aux Piments around 5 h 35 on Sunday. The circumstances of the accident are unknown at this stage of the investigation.

Later, another 34 year old constable, a resident of Triolet, was found unconscious next to his motorcycle on the main road in Ilot. He was wounded and was also taken to SSRN hospital where he was admitted to intensive care.

Police officers of Montagne-Longue reached the site after receiving a call. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the accident.
